We held my mother's 60th birthday celebration at the Palmetto Club. This was an elegant and very important event for our family. While the venue itself is beautiful, unfortunately our overall experience did not meet our expectations. The Palmetto Club has a reputation for its food, so this was particularly disappointing. Two guests received chicken that was not completely done. We chose not to complain during the celebration because we didn't want to disrupt my mother's evening. The salmon was also undercooked. The beef tips with wild rice were the best entrée. The mashed potatoes were not very good, and although the meals came out ready to eat, the food was not hot. There were also significant problems with our take-home meals. Four of eight were incorrectly labeled. The photo attached shows one example: the container was marked "S" for salmon, but contained chicken. Another meal that was supposed to be beef contained salmon. I don't have photos of the others because they went home with guests who later called us about the mix-ups. When we pointed out the issue to the waitstaff, we felt we were met with attitude, and no corrections were made. Communication leading up to the event

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Bob and the GEI catering staff every month for over a year now and they consistently exceed expectations. Bob is full of great suggestions when we are meal planning and always delivers on his ideas. The food is consistently delicious and the team is professional, reliable, and easy to work with. They pay attention to the details, accommodate requests with a positive attitude, and always help make our meetings run smoothly. It’s clear they take pride in the quality of both their food and their service. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for dependable, high-quality catering!

AFRW really likes Gei Catering and Events. We have been using them (Bob) for three years now. The food is excellent and the service is exceptional. Bob works with us on our events and guides us through the process with the food and decorations if they apply. We just had a 250th celebration there and the food was incredible. Bob really out did himself. We have monthly meetings and our Christmas parties at Palmetto Club.

We really enjoyed our event thanks to Bob and staff. The venue was clean and ready to be decorated. The food was provided by GEI and it was amazing. Thank you again I will definitely be having our next event here.

GEI catering is the best venue around for any special event or meeting have food. The ballroom is specious with lots of extra room for displays, dancing or any other needs. The tables look elegant with their linen colorful napkins popping out of the top of glass water goblets, over cloth tablecloths! There is a pull down screen on the stage for any slide or PowerPoint showing along with technical set up ready. There is a baby grand in the stage available for playing. There is room lighting of several different colors to choose to set the mood. Piped in music can also be arranged! The food is superb. Catering Chef Bob, will work with you on a menu that he totally creates himself the day of the occasion. I have had many different entree selections over the years and they are always excellent in quality and taste. Bob never disappoints! The server staff are experts at what they do and are most accommodating!! They are a pleasure to work with! The Palmetto Club is my go to for any type of event because if all that they have to offer the customer. Love that they have a huge parking lot and renovated restrooms and interior ballroom! Reasonable pricing for all that is offered to you-
